A Major Update to the Future of BPS
I’m not sure what the best way is to say this, so I’ll just be direct. Big Pharma Sharma is going on an extended pause.
Starting this Monday (August 3rd), I am taking on a new senior management role at a publicly traded biotech company. You can keep an eye on my linkedin page to see where I am going and what I am doing. Unfortunately, given the scope of this role, it is going to be really difficult for BPS to co-exist with this new chapter in my career. There is just too much overlap and important ethical considerations. I also don’t feel like I can bring you the same level of objectivity and unvarnished analysis you’ve come to know. So the safest path here is for me to pause BPS. I think that is what is best for everyone at the moment. Whenever this new chapter is over, I’ll be back writing.
Logistically, what does this mean?
If you’re a paid subscriber, I have paused future charges, so you will not be charged any additional subscription fees moving forward. You will still have access to all my past content.
If you’re a yearly paid subscriber, please let me know if you would like a pro-rated refund. I’d be happy to do that for you. You’ll lose access to all my past content if you choose this path, but if a pro-rated refund is better suited for your situation, I’ll do that for you.
Everyone else: you won’t be seeing any additional posts or updates from BPS for the time being.
Reflecting back on my multi-year newsletter journey that has taken me up to this point, I am still in shock about how much writing BPS has meant to me. I started this just as a way to stay engaged with the BioPharma community and provide a true insider’s perspective that I felt was missing from the broader discourse. It’s grown to be a true passion project. Something that brings me great joy to write every week. Something that has helped me refine my thinking and sharpen my perspectives. More importantly, the messages of support that I’ve received from many of you subscribers who I’ve never even met in-person, has meant the world to me. The fact that you’d be willing to pay me your hard earned dollars just to hear what some random guy on the internet has to say about BioPharma strategy, is still kind of crazy to me.
